Internal with GP
«
on:

Was at the GP today about my staining (3 week duration). She was really good and gave me an internal examination as part of my appointment she said my cervix was smooth and looked healthy but commented that I had a "creamy" substance present which she didn't think looked like thrush. I ask if I had used my vagifem last night but not used since Wednesday night. Will this still be my vagifem? Sorry rather disgusting conversation but don't want to Google and scare myself

Yes it dissolves into a creamy substance over 24 hours. Sometimes when you insert another vagifem you get this on the applicator from the previous one. I get this a lot as I use vagifem most nights. You might notice this residue on your pants too, it's just the remains of the pessary after the estrogen has been absorb and perfectly normal.

Hi hun
Yes i had my examine done thru my dr and she found the same creamy fluid she showed me because she couldn't see my cervix at that time when i first started using ovestin. She took a sample and everything come back fine .so i think its got to do with our hrt choices ..so dont stress ..

Someone on this forum posted some advice about inserting only part way up rather than right up to the cervix and I started to do that. Less reaches the uterus apparently. You'd think that GPs would know what the substance was though

Scottish Lass - what's pathetic about asking questions, nowt is OTT here! The GP wasn't sure either
What goes up etc. ;-).
Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use too.
