The problem is that the NHS won't accept Medichecks test results because it's not NHS lab. So even if the result comes back low with Medichecks you won't be able to get an increase in your estrogen via the NHS.

Newson (and private clinics) will accept Medichecks and other labs, although want venous draws for accuracy.

joziel thanks for letting me know. Do you know of any private tests that the NHS will accept?

Day 3’ is likely going to be Tuesday or Wednesday next week. So I think Ive left it too late to arrange private tests for this cycle now and I guess I may as well wait until I see the NHS results before spending money on private tests.

My next GP appt isn’t until after my next period. But I could organise something for day 3 of my next cycle unless GP will agree to re-test but I’ve just found out she’s retiring end of March which is a whole new hurdle!

I have never had the slightest problem using medichecks tests at Chelsea and Westminster NHS, nor indeed previously with my gp so clearly there is no blanket rule

Thanks. I’ve decided to go ahead with the medichecks one next week around day 3 as also the NHS test missed some other tests. I begrudge paying privately but I would like to compare different parts of my cycle anyway and to have results for my GP appt the week after. Thanks for all your help. I’ll post results in this thread in case anyone is interested or has any insights :)
