I don't know about your situation but I know about the anxiety. I'm the same everytime I've to have tests. I don't think the medics help with the language they use. It's their daily job and they forget the impact of what they say. I had an awful experience when a gp referred me to the breast clinic. I was physically ill by the time I got there all because of the things the GP had said. Recently I was given a diagnosis after a test, so casual, no explanation, nobody with me. My advice from my own experience is to remember that theyre talking in their daily medical language and it doesn't necessarily mean anything, they just dont think, chase up your appointments, don't just wait, the wait lists are so bad that you're just a number. Those who shout loudest get seen quicker and nobody else will speak for you. Ring up and get yourself seen. I've done it, I even rang the histology lab for outstanding results. The nhs is in such a mess, you've to push your own case.
