'place in the sun' and 'escape to the country' presenter has died, aged 50.  Leaving a loving/loved Wife and 3 small sons.  RIP - your humour and knowledge will be missed.

Aww so sad, followed all his tales,he did so well,fought it for a long time,last I saw he was back in hospital for scans. Such a shame  :'(

Aww no. I really hoped he would pull through somehow. Followed the updates and could see that he was fighting so hard.  :'( So sad.
