I'm a bit surprised to be in pain still.aftwr just an ultrasound!

Pain has eased after a session of yoga and I'm now bleeding

So at least I know what's going on!

And this morning I'm passing clots!

Not what I was expecting

Either the internal scan has dislodged something or the change from Evoral 75 & Norethisterone back to Evoral Conti (changed my patch on Monday) has destabilised things

Either way I don't like it & I wish bodies came with a manual 😞

I was on phone phone to a HCP about the bleeding and he suddenly said 'oh your results just arrived'

I have a 42 x 42 x 41mm subserosal fibroid (growing outside the uterus possibly on a stalk!) Which is small

& 4.8mm uterine lining so thats fab (it's less than 5mm, which is the cut off)

& 70% of women bleed after an internal ultrasound

So I imagine they wont do anything anytime soon!

Pity that they don't give women a leaflet about what to expect after invasive treatments  it would lessen any worries!

So all is 'within normal limits'?

I really didn't know you could bleed after an internal ultrasound. I've had quite a few,and no one has ever mentioned that to me!

@violetAquarious @CLKD it would be nice if they told you beforehand, wouldn't it?

Most info online about subserosal cysts are for menstruating women not post meno so I wonder if my high oestrogen for the last few months grew it

An internal ultrasound to check the placenta broke my waters when I was pregnant, so it defo can rupture / cause things down there!!!

I'm feeling pretty rough, but I have no signs of an Infection

So I'll just keep an eye of things

Katymac.  I had an internal scan a couple of weeks ago and ended up bleeding and having a bout of cystitis.  Its not fun.  I am due to see the gynae doctors on the 30th as I've had some bleeding and possibly need a biopsy.  My womb lining was just over the 5mm so I'm hoping that they might not need to.  I'll be taking an antibiotic before I go just in case
