Air Plants

I've got another passion.  15 years ago a friend gave me a small one which has grown slowly, flowers occasionally ...... 2 years ago I decided to collect more: garden centres decided to stop stocking them  ::).  1 out of the 2 I did find died, the other is thriving thus far.

Friends sent me a starter kit recently - all gently stuck onto logs in our bathroom.  The plants require little care other than occasionally misting and monthly feeding.  Now I'm after Spanish Moss - once I decided where to hang it ;-).

We have plenty of logs for the wood burner so lots of bits of bark on which to attach plants  8)

I stood my plants outside in the continuing rain, almost 4got to bring them inside  ::) but the leaves have plumped up.  They look healthier than when I spritz them ..... now draining in the kitchen, in the. morning I will put them back 'into place'.

My family have always had houseplants - usual things like - can't remember the name  :-\ - it trails ......... has babies at the end of leaves: as well as cactii.  Pelagoniums in various colours in every room .  Fuchsias over wintering on window sills.

Do you mean a spider plant?

Tillandsia is a genus of around 650 species of evergreen, perennial flowering plants in the family Bromeliaceae, native to the forests, mountains and deserts of the Neotropics, from northern Mexico and the southeastern United States to Mesoamerica and the Caribbean to central Argentina. Wikipedia

They don't require soil.  They need spritzing weekly.  Occasoionally they will flower.
