Salt of the earth deodorants are good.

I won’t be adjusting anything until at least the new year. I still have this odour so it might take a while to go and I need to prove to myself that it does go!

Hi.
I just want to jump in here with a thought. Are you able to turn this into a positive in that the reaction is a sign that something, which may just need tweaking, is actually working? What do you think? When I first started T, no-one was safe from my relentless, lustful thoughts! Several times a day, including the postman, but at least it was a reaction which soon subsided with tweaking. it was exhausting! I hope this makes you smile. 😊

Hi postmeno, This is just hilarious and did make me smile! I do see what you mean. I feel alright now, I think I just got a bit of a shock! I do think I will be trying the T again next year sometime at a lower dose but for now I just want to have a relaxing holiday. Thanks for posting! :)

Hi ladies

I’ve come to the conclusion that natural deodorant does not work on me anymore and am testing some antiperspirants so if anyone can recommend a good one I’d be most grateful! I’ve got sure and Mitchum roll on at the moment.

I've only ever used an antiperspirant, a normal deodorant would never be strong enough for me. This thread has been of interest to me as I do remember in my 50's having to try a stronger deodorant like Mitchum because nothing else was working.

Now older I am doing ok on Dove antiperspirant and can get away with every other day, perhaps hormonal change can have quite an effect on our sweat glands.

I use 'dove' anti-perspirant when ever I am going to be in a closed environment or anywhere where my anxiety levels = more sweating.

That’s interesting Ayesha. I am currently testing a Mitchum roll on so fingers crossed that will work for me. I do like the smell of the Dove more though. I wish we had had a meno module at school so we could have been prepared for all this!

I like the smell of Dove, the soap is nice too.

I find a lot of nice products in Charity Shops after the New Year ;-).

I also note that my clothing doesn't smell even when I'm aware that my underarms are whiffy  ::)

Mitchum’s doing well so far. Lasted all day. I’ve noticed I’m sweating a lot lately, much more than usual. It feels like hot flushes. But still on 3 pumps gel. I think the T has upset things.

Hi Katherine, I know of several women, me included who've had the same unpleasant reaction to testosterone, please don't worry though it's not irreversible.  If you decide to try it again I agree with the suggestion to try a lower dose.  I found no more than a petit pois sized blob was ample, but that said I'm a very small woman & it may also depend on how much you are able to produce for yourself - I have no ovaries so inadequate T of my own.  Worth experimenting with for the many benefits it brings those of us who need it.

Thanks Wrensong, I found your post very informative and reassuring. I do feel like the smell is fading a bit. After reading of all the potential benefits in this thread ( there are far more than I was aware of) and the fact that several people are saying the smell goes, I think I will try T again  sometime in the new year. I’m so glad I posted about this. X
