Anyone using Cetraben as a moisturiser
« on: December 12, 2023, 05:53:36 PM »

I've always used Cetraben emollient to wash with instead of soap but thought I'd try using as a moisturiser. I struggle to find a moisturiser or lubricant that doesn't sting, irritate and cause more soreness.
Although it stung initially it seems to be ok for now but it's early days. I've used other moisturisers and lubricants for a few days ok and then they suddenly turn on me including YES products that were ok for a while.
Does anyone else use Cetraben to moisturise and can you actually use it for this purpose?

I was given it by the gp to wash and moisturise down below, but it can be used all over the body for either use x

Hi I use certeban as a moisturiser, when you say moisturiser down below what do you mean, as a barrier cream around the vagina xxx

Just to moisturise really when I'm feeling dry externally.

I use Cetraben for washing the undercarriage, but rinse it off and use Olive & Bee as a barrier/ moisturiser. It is very mild, just olive oil and beeswax. I have also used Epaderm, which is fine but a bit too thick for my liking. Olive & Bee is available from Stressnomore.

Not tried that one but I've heard it mentioned a lot so will give it a try if this don't work.
