Reporting back on hysteroscopy today: they applied local anaesthetic, but then getting camera in deep enough was painful...so was given option of gas and air; that made me nearly pass out! So she decided to halt procedure, and they will do it under GA in a week or so. Am so relieved. She did spot a polyp with the camera, so that will be removed when I go in along with doing biopsy and inserting the Mirena.
Have to say, cannot fault the doc (was relieved she was female) and nurse team, they were so good.
So, hopefully it will all work out under GA!

Hope yours goes well. I opted for GA, as I’d had a hysteroscopy before under LA and then had to go back for the polypectomy. The polyp hadn’t shown up on the scan.
This time around it looked like a polyp but they didn’t do a polypectomy so maybe it was just unevenness. Still glad I had GA though
Keep us all posted when you have yours, won’t you?
Good to hear it all went well. Mine is booked for 4th Dec, hoping to have local anaesthetic .
Let us know how you get on with the Mirena
Rest well x
