Hi, I’ve just started using Evorel Conti patches. It’s only been a week but already I feel worse? My hair seems thinner and I feel on edge and tearful. Still having night sweats, too. I may have very high expectations but I’m interested in anyone else’s experience and if it does actually get better?

Hi Michelle
You should start to feel the beneficial effects of the added oestrogen pretty soon if the dose/preparation is right. Do presevere and hopefully you will feel better soon. If not you could try the Evorel sequi and see if that helps (in case the progestogen does not agree with you) but you would then have a monthly withdrawal bleed. Or there are other HRT types to try.
All the best

It takes longer that a week. I also started gave up with them in the first 2 weeks. I think mine took just over 2 weeks, the hot flushes stopped first. I slept all night without a hot flush, it was great.
