Atrophy
« on: October 16, 2023, 01:04:38 PM »

Hi,

It’s been a while since i posted as all been going ok.  The last week I have been feeling uncomfortable again with a sensation of something is stuck in my vagina.  I am really worried it’s a prolapse but it’s going to be another couple of weeks before I can see GP and I don’t have any other symptoms.

Has anyone experienced this feeling? It’s more like something is there at the entrance and it is tingling.  I take Vagifem twice weekly and use estriol every so often and wonder if I need to up the pessaries for a while?

Any advice welcome

Yes, it sounds like you need to do a reload. Take every night for a couple of weeks then reduce gradually to whatever dose makes you comfortable. Twice a week is the lowest dose and not enough for many of us and the muscles of the pelvic floor weakens. A lot of us need to take vagifem daily. Use the estriol too around the entrance and bladder area.

Coconut oil may help, use plenty, it's a bit messy when it melts, put it in from top to bottom so to speak, or if not one of the more expensive lubricants, but this u
Is cheap and fairly good.

I've just started oestrogen pessaries for atrophy, first week. I've been feeling nauseous and headachey and tired, then last night I woke up with terryfying vertigo and neck pain. Plus pelvic pain. I'm thinking of not using the pessaries tonight in case I'm having an allergic reaction to it. Has anyone had  a bad reaction to it? Thanks
