Soreness and bleeding when I wipe
« on: September 13, 2023, 12:33:10 PM »

Just wondered if anybody else has had it where there lady bits get so sore from wearing pads that when they rub just inside it bleeds and stings. Since starting peri I've always had a point just in on my left that can get a little sore when we have sex and I think it's that point that has now got so sore from rubbing with wipes and tissue that it may be causing some light bleeding. Just wondered if I was alone in that

That sounds like vaginal atrophy to me. Wearing pads makes me sore too. Perhaps a barrier cream would help a little? Are you using locialised oestrogen?

No I get that, one side only,  been there for years. Doctor said normal to get 'hot spots' like that as she calls them. Winder if it is positional, side I sit on, hand I wipe with etc as mine is on the right. Flares up certain times of the month when I get the dryness and can feel like little paper cuts, ouch !!!

I use sudocream on mine. Probably not the best choice, but the Sylk I use the rest of the month stings when applied if its sore like that and doesn't help it heal.

Oh mine is on the outside though, inner vulva area, so doesn't rub during sex.

I use Aproderm barrier cream. I find it soothing. :)

Can you buy that without prescription? Wonder if it'd be less thick/ gloomy than Sudocream.  Does it have that healing element too?

I buy it from Amazon. I love Aproderm. I use their oat cream for washing in the shower.

Why is any1 using pads ?

I have a sore spot slightly inside to the right of the vagina which hurts on contact.  Get some VA treatment and a good moisturiser to see if it helps.

Sudacrem; KY Jelly; Yes and Sylc can all help on the outer vulva/labia area.  Bleeding may be due to thinning of the skin inside and out.

For periods, spotting or discharge maybe. :)

Any discharge that requires regular use of pads needs investigation.

Periods and spotting I can understand, but every day: enough to cause soreness?   :-\ although when clearing the properties of elderly ladies, all had pads in the cupboards.   :-\

I use liners/pads every day now as never know when I might bleed. I use them to protect my underwear from blood, spotting, discharge, moisturiser etc. All these things can stain & ruin underwear, which aren't cheap these days.
