Sensitivity to temperature rises
« on: September 10, 2023, 05:03:51 PM »

Hi, does anyone else suffer with extreme sweating when doing something remotely physical? I’ve only been hoovering and have sweat pouring down my face. I’ve never been like this before, my face is bright red and my hair is greasy . I don’t suffer from the random hot flushes and I’m on 2nd month of hrt patches. Any suggestions would be amazing

It's Summer.  Suddenly - many are perspiring .......... I've hardly been able to move for 3 days but am sleeping OK with a cool fan blowing.  I don't use HRT other than VA treatment.  Could you make some ice blocks to put behind your neck?

I do too Clair. Even in the winter if I do any household chores then I need to shower afterwards! I hope there will be some suggestions.

I've been doing some research online into why my muscles ache so much in Summer, and its all to do with the high humidity levels we are having.
Swollen aching muscles and sweating profusely is very common this summer. Might be worth doing some research and any remedies that might help to ease the symptoms.

Hi, I am bit late on this.
But, yes absolutely this is me all over. And I have been beginning to think I am going mad. My hot sweats are very much doing any housework, anything physical, even going shopping. It really is miserable.  I have a portable fan, a neck fan too. I am finding (I am on UK) that at the moment I am ranging between hot and sweaty or once I cool off I am cold, clammy a bit like when you're unwell. Its hideous.

Its December and humidity levels are still high and I am still waking up in the night sweating, like the hot flushes never end.

I only got overheated with an external heat source - hot drink, sitting by the fire etc. I didn't recognise them as flushes but they went when I started hrt.
