Some advice please! I’ve been going crazy trying to find a bra that will fit .. be comfortable and support. I have gone from a manageable 36DD to an outrageous 38E ( perhaps even bigger now) .. because my HRT dosage is so high. I’ve spent a fortune.. and just can’t seem to find a decent one .. that will make my day to day life a little better.
I’ve gone from a size 8/10.. to a 14 . But most of the weight has gone to my breast . They are sore .. swollen and out of control.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I should add that I live on an island so it’s not like I can just go out and search . But if I got some recommendations.. I would go off island and do some shopping. I just need to know what to look for . Far too many online.. and I’ve been buying and returning for a while .

Get properly measured: 85% of women are in the wrong size.  I'll have a. look-C , there's a company that does extra sized bra fittings but can't remember who!

    which HRT regime are you using and has it helped ease symptoms?

I can highly recommend the marks and spencer goodmove sports bra with the zip up the front. I’m a 32G and wear the 36F, the sizing is different from normal bras but they are the most comfy bras ever. They have them in black turquoise and pink, I live in them!

I was finally able to find my correct bra size by using a bra calculator on boob or bust website. They have a different way of measuring then the shops and I found it was more accurate for me. I would give their instructions a go and you may be surprised to learn you are a different bra size to what you thought.

As for recommendations, I only know websites unfortunately.

I can't abide underwires, they are torture devices. My sports bras are one of the best things that ever happened to me. Apparently you can buy bras with 'soft wires' rather than the usual 'hard wires' you find in most dept stores but they were much more expensive in the shop I found them anyway.

I can highly recommend Bravissimo.

I discovered them about 15 years ago and was so impressed with the service from the ladies in the store and the wide range of styles they have.

I went in wearing a 36DD and came out two band sizes down and three cup size up. The comfiest I'd been for a long time. I now wear a 32GG and wouldn't go anywhere else.

They don't use tape measures but do everything by sight and they offer a virtual fitting service if you can't get into a store.
