Botox for armpits?
« on: August 12, 2023, 09:25:01 AM »

Sorry I don't have the words to ask more politely, forgive my ignorance, but has anyone tried botox for sweating under the arms?

In this hot weather that a lot of the world is experiencing, it's very difficult to stop sweating as a postmenopausal woman.

The doctor shook my hand yesterday and nearly slid off it, she agreed I was sweating a lot the entire time I was in the aircooled hospital in a spaghetti strung top and after the scan agreed to raise my oestrogen dose but first change me to oestrogel, see if that absorbs better.

So next week I may get starting oestrogel to put on my arms and perhaps if I put it on my upper arms it will be close enough to my armpits to work on making those less of a fountain?

Thursday night we were all discussing sweating and botox came up, it's something I wonder if anyone else here has tried?

I tried searching from the search box, but it told me to try again later!

I spend hours every day soaking wet and armpits are the worst, not smell thankfully but pure discomfort from wearing wet clothes that I change all the time.

I've stickers from China on my armpits now, like large sticking plasters, with bicarb of soda and lemon deo from lush rubbed over the top, it keeps it from feeling as wet and irritated. I'm getting chaffing for the first time in my life and it's not my thighs it's the front of my armpits where the skin rubs together over the sweating.

So now I don't need to pay for a scan, maybe I should get botox for sweating instead?

Thoughts?

Hey

I personally haven’t had Botox but my best friend has and it has changed her life!
She used to sweat profusely and her clothes were always soaked through day and night.

HRT made no difference to the sweating and she was desperate for a solution. She says it’s worth every penny.

Good luck!

You could try Driclor for underarm sweating ( it’s in the deodorant section of Boots etc ) - might sting a little, but it works for me! :)
