Changing from Evorel Sequi to Evorel Conti too soon?
« on: July 17, 2023, 06:02:31 PM »

Hi all,

I've just had an idea why I may have been bleeding for more than the 6 months after switching from Sequi to Conti. I hope I've explained this properly, as I've had close to sod all sleep this last week and am so much looking forward to getting my hands on some oestrogen this Wednesday at my next appt!

I'm 55 and have been on and off HRT for about 7 years. Before starting HRT I'd gone a few months between periods but never the full 12 months, and since starting HRT I've never had a 12 month break from treatment. So I don't actually know for certain whether I've hit the menopause.

After a few years on Sequi the HRT nurse suggested moving to Conti so I didn't get periods - I was quite happy with that plan. I had two periods about 3 weeks apart and after that was continually bleeding for about 4.5 months. Could it have been because I was still only peri-menopausal when I switched, could that have caused the prolonged bleeding? I had a pipette biopsy and all was clear, so there's nothing sinister going on fortunately.

Hope that's clear, and any thoughts would be very welcome!
