Vasculitis
« on: July 05, 2023, 05:14:54 PM »

Hello.  Had a rash develop suddenly on lower legs , not painful or itchy.  Saw gp who said it was an autoimmune disease linked to Vasculitis.  Had urine dipstick which showed blood protein and white cells again linked to this.  Now have to have a blood test to see what’s happening and if kidney function ok.  Anyone else had similar ??  Thanks!!

My partner went through this a few months back. He was unwell and unable to get out of bed. He developed an odd rash and sent a picture to the GP who said he needs to go to hospital right away as it looks like vasculitis. After having tests it was found his white blood cells were very low. With rest most of them went and he did not have the kind of vasculitis that lasts.

We were told it can be a temporary response to a virus. Hopefully this will be the same for you.

Thank you.   The gp is working through tests to see what is going on.  I now have a low platelet count so need to repeat that test in a month.  Also had anti body testing which shows positive for something but who knows what.  Editing for more specialist blood tests now
