« on: June 15, 2023, 01:40:38 PM »

Hi all,

I am going to have a look around the forum so thats it for now.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I am sorry you have had to go private. It sounds to me like you have vaginal atrophy. This is when the vagina lacks oestrogen. The treatment for it is localised oestrogen such as Ovestin or Vagifem. I am surprised the private clinic have not explained this to you unless I am mistaken and you have already tried this. :)

Hello to you. Do have a browse and just ask anything at anytime.

Gosh, your home is awash with hormones right now. But you have come to the right place for information and support. I use ovestin cream and YES vaginal moisturiser to help with dryness and atrophy, if that proves to be the case with yourself

For now,  welcome to you.

Ahhh bless you there seems to be alot happening in your family at the moment and to you too.
Welcome hunni and we are here to support you. Like Sarah says loads of info on here that helped me so much when I was seriously struggling. There is a guide for hubbys on the index page which you might find helpful to print off for your family to explain what your going thru. Please dont feel bad you can't control this. Xxx

 :welcomemm:

Print off 'hints for husbands' from the Forum, read and pass to your husband ;-)

Do read the 'bladder issues' thread and those relating to vaginal atrophy.  A member of the Forum wrote a book "Me and My Menopausal Vagina", worth a read [Amazon] - I bought several copies to hand to the GP Practice ;-).

Ask away.  Most of us have been through what most of us R going through ;-).
