Anyone had bad IBS with Diarrhoea with peri menopause?

I’m 50 and been perimenopausal for three years. My periods are all over the place, I’m irritable and not sleeping but the worst problem is my digestion has gone completely. My gut gurgles all the time, I get constipated but then also out of nowhere I get bouts of regular diarrhoea which are horrible and I think are linked to my hormones. I’ve had blood tests and stool tests and seen a gastroenterologist who says it’s IBS which I did used to have but I’m still worried. Has anyone else experienced this?
