Hi,

hoping someone can reassure me please!

I've been using Evorel 75 patches for about a year now and they are generally good for peri symptoms but I get skin irritation under the patches especially in warmer weather, so my GP has suggested changing to Estrogel.  So far so good. 

I've just picked it up and read the info leaflet (I'm a bit of a geek/over-thinker like that!  ).  The leaflet says the gel is for post-menopausal women and now I'm a bit worried about starting it.

I've booked an appointment with my GP to check but it's over a week away so wondered if anyone had any experience of using it in peri and knew why the leaflet says for post-meno?

Thank you poppytoast, that has reassurred me hugely!  I'm assuming the drug companies think there is no money in peri-meno research so don't bother
