Heads up for local election ID
« on: March 12, 2023, 02:43:26 PM »

Apparently in order to be allowed in to vote in local elections 1 has to have photographic ID  :-\

Me 4 one won't be applying.  They have my name, address etc..  Details are on the electrerol role  ::).  For those who want to Vote do check your local rules and regulations.

CLKD haven't you got any photographic ID? It's easy to apply for a Voter Identity Card if not  :)

If you have a bus pass, that will do.

I'm not eligible for a bus pass quite, and I don't agree with needing an ID to do what I am legally allowed to do: vote.  I will apply for my Driving Licence nearer the time.   ;)8)

There was a hue and cry when 'we' wanted ID cards years ago.

I'm as old as I feel  :D - 1st thing, about 90.  Once breakfast starts to filter through I feel younger and younger  ;D

We may be the same year but different times ;-)

I thought you were past pension age, which is bus pass age, like me. Confusion reigns  ;D

You don't get it automatically offered to you but apply for it once you get to state pension age.  :)
