Evorel conti
« on: February 23, 2023, 06:47:01 PM »

For those of you that use evotel conti do you find that the bleeding/spotting eventually stops.
Every month I am getting a brown bleed and my moods are horrendous.
I think I will need to stop taking this or try something else.
Anybody else have this problem 🤔

I had bleeding for six months then I gave up and went back onto sequi instead. How long have you been using it?

Hi Taz
I have been using it a good 6 months.
I was taking oral hrt for years and never had any issues.
I just want to be normal again. Every month....its awful. My moods swings come from nowhere x

The norethisterone in Evorel is notorious for causing low mood and PMT type symptoms in some women. Maybe try Evorel 50 with a separate progesterone?

I saw a gynaecologist recently who ruled out any problems with the bleeding and I asked if I should have a blood test done to check estrogen levels. Her reply was Yes if you feel menopause symptoms are present. Not for the spotting, that will not help.

I had my bloods done recently and they were 228. The gynae said that this is normal and she suggested upping my evorel conti to 75.

This may help my symptoms but not sure this is gonna help the bleeding x

I'd be inclined to try a different progestin. Might be worth asking for a scan to rule out eg fibroids or polyps causing it.
