Hi all
I ordered my Estrogel and utrogestan about a month ago through Lloyds pharmacy direct
Estrogel was delivered but utrogestan is out of stock, I called them yesterday and they said they don’t know when it’s coming back in
I am 51 and think I am still having periods so wanted to ask if it would be safe to just use the Estrogel without the utrogestan for a little while? Hopefully it will come back into stock soon, I don’t really want to try any alternatives and I don’t really have time to go from pharmacy to pharmacy to try and find some (I have checked by phoning a few local pharmacies and they don’t have it anyway)
I am aware my cycle will probably get messed up again, very frustrating when I felt I was actually getting somewhere and starting to feel a bit better but hey Ho

Quote from Besins when asked about Utrogestan shortage, which they say is due to increased demand:

“We want to assure patients that we are working to reduce this temporary shortage and we are expecting substantial supplies of this product from the middle of this month. These supplies will need to work their way into the supply chain to reach pharmacies and so we expect this temporary shortage to gradually ease by the end of February.”

You are OK on oestrogel only for a short while. Maybe check with doctor. I pick up my prescription today so will see whether I get utrogestan or not.

I’m south east and can’t it anywhere I’m also with Lloyds direct I’ve got one box left I take 1 every day and I’m starting to worry I don’t want to change as I’ve been doing great on the gel and utrogestan combo I’m praying I’ve got enough until they come back in ❤️‍🩹🙏🏻

I hope you get some too Mandy, there’s a recent update on here from Discogirl, the suppliers are saying it should be available by the end of the month 😊
