I did book Iceland for my 60th birthday trip and I am flying early on Thursday 9th. Just 4 nights. Hope to see Northern Lights.

Northern Lights took a holiday and could be seen across parts of the UK last week ;-) Enjoy!

Been to Norway many times and never seen the northern lights,only time I've seen them was in Aberdeen of all places,back in my 20s they were beautiful  :)

Well. We paid the balance of our Alaskan cruise today. Blimey, I thought I'd need supplementary oxygen for hubby! It's not cheap and the travel insurance  :o  Blinkin fortune! As I said.......

Go 4 it.  Explain to DH that there are people, like me, who cannot go on holiday: even the thought of visiting friends in Devon brings on anxiety  :'(.  Tax man will take it otherwise!

Couldn't agree more CLKD. OH is someone who worked hard all of his life. He likes to maintain a healthy bank balance (to the point where there's a danger, I can see, that either a care home or the tax man will get it as we have no children!) It is difficult to strike a balance between enjoying life and keeping pennies for emergencies.
He has been exceptional at earning/providing for our retirement (mind you, I've done OK in that respect too) but I reckon I'm better at getting the balance right re what to spend, on what and when..🤔

My dream is to visit Lugano and the Italian Lakes  :-\.  That bus might be along B4 you spend it all ;-) .
