Yellow/light brown discharge
« on: December 05, 2022, 10:24:31 AM »

Morning ladies

Anyone have a constant yellow/light brown discharge (like the end of a period)?

I had a really weird period this time. Couldn’t get going, stop start spotting. Then seemed to start as normal.

All seemed to finish ok after the usual length of time and then 2 days later, yellow/light brown discharge and still on going. Been 11 days now since the start of my period

I’m assuming it’s all hormones but looking for some reassurance

Much love ❤️

It could be hormones or an infection or vaginal atrophy. Have you had this before? Is the discharge smelly, causing irritatation or soreness? If not it's likely to be hormonal but if it continues I'd get it tested anyway.

My periods were heavy and clotty for 10 days.  Then I would have a gap of a day and a half B4 a brown stain for 24 hours which was 'normal' for me.  As well as itching, high up!

Then they began to wax and wane.  I suspect that what you have is a blip in hormones in that there isn't enough to push a proper bleed through the womb.  How do U feel otherwise?

Do read the bladder issues and vaginal atrophy threads; 4 warned is 4 armed ;-)

The only time I usually have this is at the end of a period. Not causing irritation and no smell to it so I assumed hormones. At the moment I don’t suffer with dryness so didn’t think it could be that

I have a GP appointment in 5 weeks.

That’s the next available one, so I guess I shall see how it goes until then

Thanks for the advice ❤️

Well this is still on going for me.

Since the end of my period I’ve had on and off light brown/yellow/ pinky spotting. No bright red as yet. Will soon be time for me next period as they are only 3 weeks apart at the moment or their abouts.

Yesterday I thought it had all stopped but then last night a small amount of pinky spotting🙄

It’s the first time this has happened to me and I find it fuels my anxiety also

I’m not on HRT at the moment as I can’t seem to find one that suits me right now.

Does anyone use evening primrose oil or any other natural supplements?

Much love ladies ❤️

Did you mention this to your DR curlygirl? I know you are concerned about it. I hear evening primrose oil is suitable for breast pain. I bought the oil to apply to mine but found it made the pain worse so perhaps I was just sensitive to it. I do not see any harm in you trying them.

The last time I saw my GP was on 30th November and I was just coming to the end of this last period (or so I thought). So all this started after I last saw her.

I have my next appointment on 10th January so I will mention it then and see how things go in the meantime and if my next period shows up which is due Christmas week.

I’ve not missed a period yet. Periods changed a little in Jan of this year, as in they are much lighter. Used to be very heavy with huge clots. More manageable now apart from July when I had the heaviest one ever. But I have yet to miss one.

I have taken evening primrose oil for many years as prescribed by the hospital for painful breast cysts. I was just wondering if anyone took it for Perimenopause/menopause symptoms

I have been very stressed the last few months with family issues and also a house move coming up hopefully in the new year, so maybe that is playing a part too?

Thanks for always being there Flossie. Much appreciated ❤️

I really am sorry you have had a lot of stress. Are you getting any support with this? I think counselling can be so helpful but even talking to somebody you trust can help. You are welcome to post in the private lives section were members will support you. You are also welcome to PM me if you would like.

It is good you have an appointment next month so you can discuss what is going on.

I imagine the changes are peri or stress related although I am not an expert.

You are so welcome.❤

I have a good support system and someone to talk to who helps a lot. I used to be a counsellor myself so I know how helpful this can be in times like this. We all need a little help sometimes

I’m sure it’s all hormone/stress related but my anxiety takes over and some days are worse than others. Not had a bad few months and then it’s hit me these last 2 weeks and I’ve been struggling with everything again

Thanks so much for all your help and I’ll kee in mind that you are there for me

Much love ❤️xxxxxxx
