Hello ladies
I did a search and saw some of you had suffered from sensitive teeth so I just wondered if I could run this past you...
I've been advised by my dentist to use corsodyl gel on Tepe to address a sensitive tooth issue (which was a little sore if I scratched it near the gum line if food got caught there, but other than that it was not a big problem, but I decided to rub sensodyne onto it before going to bed last week, and it hurt, so I went to the dentists). The dentist checked various things and was not concerned that there was something else more worrying going on (no abcess, decay etc) and said to use corsodyl gel on tepe brushes and go back in two weeks. The dentist said I should brush my teeth first, then do the Tepe interdental brushing dipped in corsodyl, then I can rinse with mouthwash. But I'm now concerned the corsodyl gel will be washed straight off? (if there are any dentists out there, how long should I leave it on for it to have an effect?) And does it need to be rinsed off at all, or can it be left on? Does anyone have any experience of this?
nb Also, I'm using sensodyne rapid repair, which is ok if I just brush with it, and doesn't. hurt at all, but if I rub it onto the tooth beforehand (as is suggested on the tube) it makes my tooth hurt. I've tried other toothpastes today out of curiosity and they do not do this. Also researched sensodyne and lots of people on internet saying it made otherwise health teeth sensitive when they used it?! Wondering if I should switch toothpastes, or just avoid the rubbing thing? Sorry for all the questions!!! Thanks!
