You'd drown - thunder thighs on the air, head under the surface. I wonder why no one applied a pin, I'd have been soooo tempted.

Does it matter as long as I am rescued ;-).  Some women have joined the Fleet, mainly its men at the Helm.  Brave beyond words!  Any1 watch that programme about our fish reaches the UK Shores  :o.  Fish prices are cheap considering ..........

Apparently actresses are now called actors  ::)

Roald Dahl's books are to be printed in their original form, following criticism of the decision to amend novels including The BFG, making them more suitable for modern audiences.

The plan to remove references to things like characters' appearance and weight had sparked a fierce debate.

Words including "fat" and "ugly" were removed after being reviewed by sensitivity readers, who check for potentially offensive content.

Puffin will now sell the originals.

I don't care at all. These things are trivial in the face of suffering and deprivation the world currently experiences. It makes us look ridiculous, as if we have nothing better to do. Old people being kicked to death, childhood cancer, a mental health crisis etc etc...so many things to worry about.

Add to that being bullied into changing how we address others?

I totally agree Jaypo, it’s not just the nasty menopause.

These topics takes our mind off Menopause.
We all know about the bad stuff that happens every day, just makes us more miserable and those depressed, even more so, having a silly jib at trivial things, gives us a giggle.
We all wish we could change the world, stop the beatings, the cancers, muggings, ect…. But we can’t.

Couldn't agree more Jilly. We are faced with depressing stuff on the news daily. You can't escape it. All the more reason to have a giggle on the forum with like minded ladies. You know what they say....
