I heard "her" on the radio this morning, she sounded just like a man. Not at all female.

I worked many years ago with a woman who's daughter had this syndrome. It was discovered when she hadn't started menstruating by the age of 17. It's called CAIS and is tremendously upsetting. She looked like a girl and to all intents and purposes was a young woman but with just a vagina and no ovaries or womb. The mum was devastated. The daughter was going to have the testes removed but I left the company shortly after so never found out how she got on.

In the late 1960s someone we knew had been born with both genitalia on show: raised as a girl until puberty ........ not talked about then.  There was a thought that he had absorbed a twin hence the appearance at birth of undeterminant sex.

Casta however looks like a bloke  ..........

Unacceptable, I know the charity is trying to be all hip and trendy but why didn't they ask WOMEN if this was acceptable or not  >:(

She was asked to take it on I believe. She is an activist. I wonder if there would be such an outcry if a male-at-birth person i.e. a biological male had been given the role? How many charities are headed up by people who have actually had personal experience of what they are supporting? Just idly wondering while waiting for my lunch  :)

That was DH's suggestion, a CEO position is likely to have been head hunted  ::).  I still don't agree though  :-\ and I realise that not many 'at the top' of companies have actual 'on the ground' experiences!
