We’re booked in for next Monday.
He decided to have the jab himself, so no arguing from me.
I’m a little nervous about the side effects, didn’t have any from the Pfizer one myself, altho OH did.

It’s coming again apparently this winter. We’re at the start of the fourth wave. 🤷🏼‍♀️ :'(

Keep safe everyone. xx

Last week numbers were reported as up in both England and Wales but I couldn't find out whether that was people testing or being admitted to Hospital  ::)

I read yesterday that hospital admissions were up 48% with the Covid patients.
I also read, this particular strain seems to affect over 50s more. 🤷🏼‍♀️ With a sore throat being the first symptom.
Without the testing, like from before, people are assuming they’ve just caught a cold, going about their business and spreading it, but in actual fact, it’s Covid.
That’s what the paper said.

I feel I’m back to my normal, except for asthma. As with most other viruses, I don’t pick up and have to get extra medication eg steroids. I’ve taken maximum number of puffs from my Fostair inhaler daily for 3 weeks, but haven’t improved much. Salbutamol no longer is effective, so I have to use Fostair as a reliever as well as a preventer inhaler. It’s slow giving any relief. Just keeping out of danger. I arrived home this morning from the USA. Anyone else struggled with asthma after Covid? I think I had better try and get an appointment with a doctor tomorrow morning.

Littleminnie….only if you’ve got underlying health conditions. It should be available for under 65s mid October.

In our area they are now jabbing over 50s. Also ... If you try and book online one of the questions they ask is if you look after an elderly person. If you answer yes to this then you can book a booster. That was on the main website so you would imagine it's countrywide but can't swear to it. I reckon they aren't getting a massive uptake so are opening up to us youngsters!!

DH keeps getting texts from the NHS about booking our boosters.  That is, texts every other day  >:( another reason for not sharing mobile numbers!

Thus far I've had 2 letters telling me that I can now book - that's 1 every 6 days.  I could save the NHS a bunch of dollars  >:(.

Once booked you get a reminder just about every day.

I didn't get any reminders after booking which is strange as the dentist reminds me twice by text of any upcoming appointment!
