Apparently, the HRT tsar has been removed as she was supposed to have fixed the issue  - I don't think she did anything apart from ask the companies to produce more product.

I could have done that - wonder how much she got paid?

The British Menopause Society has issued an update on HRT supply to provide guidance to BMS members and clinical practitioners on the current availability of HRT products.
The UK continues to experience shortages in supplies of Oestrogel. Besins have indicated they are receiving deliveries of this product on a regular basis and acknowledge that the current supply is sometimes insufficient to meet the continuing extraordinary demand. Besins have delivered significant volumes of Oestrogel into wholesalers recently, which is approaching double the amount supplied in the same period January to April last year. The company is working to increase and expedite supplies to wholesalers and pharmacies across the country. In addition to the increases described above, Besins Healthcare plans to further increase production capabilities to enable further supplies of this product into the UK market in the longer term.

I normally get a text when my prescription is ready from Boots, can you ring the pharmacy instead of driving there to check your meds have been delivered.

I get them when I did not request meds as well in error

No problems in Wiltshire with evorel and utrogestan, but I do feel paranoia about "future possible shortages"
I'm not that bothered about oestrogen as I am on 25mcg, although it's not enough, I bleed if I go up in dose, and I might get worse if I just drop it if it runs out.
I don't like being reliant on pharmacies, I must admit, I can't wait until I don't need HRT or other meds.

I am in Kent can can now get the gel with no problem.  The spray was still unavailable here 3 months ago though.

My chemist in the south has trouble getting femosten - they are having to get packets from France!

I’ve managed to get 1 Lenzetto they’re unable to get more currently 😬

Oestrogel is still hard to get in mid/north Devon. The Boots prescription stock checker gives a good indication of availability.

I didn’t have a problem getting 3x Lenzetto last week, was expecting issues but pharmacy had it in stock. Cambridge area.

good article. Perhaps they should market HRT as a treatment for men who may "suffer" in their marriage due to their wife's symptoms  " help keep her this way" - my goodness! But I bet it would get sorted then!  HRT "a treatment for men by proxy! ".

Tee Hee, unfortunately I still think these adverts may make more of a splash, and work in our favour if they marketed HRT this way now! We may get the supply issue sorted and more choice then!
