Yet another bleeding query..
« on: August 28, 2022, 11:32:58 AM »

Hi all,
I've been on estrodot and 100mg daily cyclogest about 8 months now. I was started on 25mcg of estrodot but it did nothing, nor did 50mcg, gradually increased to 75mcg which showed some improvement - almost permanent flushes went. I tried dropping it back to 62.5 but had to increase it again. he flushes have returned but not half as bad as they were, but aside from that I sweat like a demon, my body can't cope with heat at all.
Yesterday I noticed a little bit of brownish pink discharge, and I'm concerned.
I was meant to have a review this month, but my gynae specialist has retired, so I'm having to wait until mid October to see someone. My GP practice are totally clueless about meno. What do you think would be the next step?

I can't help with HRT but it is probably the ups and downs of changing the HRT.

During the heat waves my body leaked all day, even sitting still I would pour  :-\  >:(.  better now that it's cooler.

R U taking any other meds?

Tulip, have you been referred to a menopause clinic? I know the waiting lists are long but they will be better for you then your GP.

Yes I was referred because my GPs don't have the first clue about meno, but the consultant was another of many who suddenly retired, and the hospital has no replacement, hence having to wait till October 🙄
No other meds.

October isn't that long to wait.  MayB keep a mood/food/symptom diary to take along to discuss?

I've kept a diary since day 1. Always do with medical stuff. 👍

Hi tulip
I have just had a similar experience. I was on evotel conti and changed to evorel 75 plus etrogestan and then back to evorel conti. All within a space of 4 months.
I started to bleed very heavy and really panicked as I have not had a period for over 30 years.
I went to GP who did an internal check and sh also did a referral to gynae.
I was seen within a week and had an internal scan.
Thankfully all was good. She said it was probably all the change in hormones amd suggested I stay on the same hrt and add more estrogen by cutting patches if I feel I need it.
I am guessing that as you have changed your hrt you ate experiencing the same xx
