Whipsnade Zoo elephant's first steps pictured hours after birth

An Asian elephant has been pictured taking its first steps hours after being born.
Keepers at Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire have described the birth as "a massive success" for conservation of the endangered species.

The calf has not yet been named but she and her mother Donna are said to be doing well with the support of the rest of the herd.

Has any1 taken a ride through a safari park i.e. Woburn ?  watching Knowsley on the TV this evening, why would any1 risk getting their vehicle damaged by baboons  :o and don't drivers realise that once they leave the confines of the Park, their car/van isn't road legal?  An opportunity for Halfords to set up shop at the Exit gates  ;D
