Crikey, I didn’t know anything about the tsunami, Jaypo  :o……We saw humpbacks (but they didn’t breach so it was slightly disappointing if I’m honest). Saw brown bears on a forest walk (had Rambo with a rifle leading the group  ;D - most disconcerting  :o), bald eagles, sea otters and lots of lovely dolphins 🐬….
There were rather a lot of people coughing and sniffing on the ship, Jaypo (on the last couple of days, I have to say).
I’ve stocked up on ibuprofen and paracetamol, CLKD…👍

Haha songbird, the minute you turned your back I bet they were leaping out of the water  ;D
I always hear coughing and spluttering towards the end of a cruise  >:( glad to be home?
Apparently there was an earthquake and it triggered warnings of a tsunami but it obviously didn't come to anything ....... bet you're glad you didn't know lol

;D..We really hoped we would see orcas but, sadly, they didn’t make an appearance  ::)….
I am very glad to be home. The time travelling, along with the actual time difference and covid 🤒 has taken it out of me big time  :-\…..
How was your cruise Jaypo?

Well dear ladies. Got back from our Alaskan cruise yesterday. Had a fantastic time, except we’ve both got covid! 🤒.
This is the first time, to my knowledge, 🤔, that we’ve had the dreaded C word! Is paracetamol or ibuprofen the best thing to take? I haven’t got a clue! My hands and feet are burning too. Weird!
Should I wait another couple of days before testing again??
Oh dear - clueless Songbird  :-\
When I had it earlier in the year the line on the test was a thick solid line, tested 2 days later and it was a lot fainter. 2 days after that it was gone.

The 2 lines on my test were visible but fine so with a bit of luck I might be clear in 2 or 3 days Littleminnie 🤞

Feeling embarassed, as my dog decided to stop and lie down in the middle of the intersection (we were out for a walk) to stare at another dog on the opposite side of the street. So here I am trying to coax her to get up (she lies down when she sees another dog approaching) with 2 cars wanting to make a turn into the same lane. I tried to hurry her up because we were stopping traffic, but ended up dragging her a bit as I turned to look I realized she was still lying down. Omg...I can't imagine what the other dog owner was thinking. I then had to physically lift Maggie up to her feet by her harness (I've perfected the motion to be quick) and she decided to walk again, happily, I might add. I got to the other side of the street and put her in a sit and gave her a talking to that stopping and lying in the middle of a busy intersection is not ok. :o  The other dog owner kept looking at me the whole time, it was seconds really, and then finally walked away with her dog as we continued on, probably thinking I'm crazy or I abuse my dog.

;D ........ was she staring out the other dog or trying to herd it ?  they can be funny in their own ways  ::).  They don't understand English though, nor probably Canadian ....... I expect that the drivers were in sympathy with you!

So far so good.  Met with friends unexpectedly over a cuppa and cake this afternoon, we happened to fetch up in the same village here: even though we are from the same village at home  ;D it was 'what R U doing here?' ...........

In the B&B.  Relaxed.

Oh my goodness, I’ve never felt as tired in my life 😴🥱…. Could jet lag still have this kind of effect after 3 days? 😳
I had a negative test for covid today (tested positive on Thursday) but I think it must be the jet lag that is lingering with me. Mind you, we had a 9 hour wait at Vancouver, an 8.5hr flight and then another 4hr wait at Heathrow for transfer to Glasgow (and then there was the 8hr time difference when we got to the U.K.  - never again!  :-\

Yes it can still be jet lag. When I was travelling to New Zealand regularly it used to take at least 2, more usually 3 weeks for my body clock to reset. It will get better honestly.

They say to allow for 1 day recovery for each hour of time difference so I'd give it at least a week before expecting to feel back in sync if you've been on the west coast of Northern America.

Flying west to east is always a Killer for me. Find it easier/quicker to recover east to west.

If you've had covid dont underestimate the effect that will have. I slept for a month after Covid last year and it took e 12 weeks to feel remotely normal.

Be kind to yourself and rest up x
