Just got back from mum’s. Poor thing hasn’t slept for 2 nights and her appetite’s coming and going - can’t work out what the problem is! She’s absolutely exhausted. I left her on her armchair, feet up and with a comfy blanket over her, giving it 😴..
Several blood tests have been showing fluctuating ferritin levels. Does anyone know if this could be the problem? 🤔. Just wish her GP would give her iron tablets but they seem to be reluctant 🤷‍♀️

It's a worry.  Low VitD levels?  MayB ask a pharmacist for advice then go back to the GP with a request?  Seeing how surgeries are reluctant to a) prescribe and b) refer appropriately, it is worrying that patients don't seem to get support when required.  R U able to make an appt with her GP directly: that's what DH and I do, go along as a pair to discuss ;-).

How long has she been like this Songbird? Couldn't be COVID could it? My symptoms this third time around were loss of appetite, fatigue, nausea plus insomnia. No cough or cold symptoms.

I'll definitely contact the GP on Wed, CLKD.
Crikey, I never even considered covid Taz. When you mention your symptoms it could well be that 🤔. She's been like this for a couple of days.
I'll do a test tomorrow. Thanks ladies 😘

And don't forget to look after yourself as well Songbird.  Extra stress of ( naturally) worrying about your dear mum means you need to take extra care for yourself too. X :-*

Am willing to share the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake leftovers with CLKD btw.... Just saying.

Oh I do love this forum  :foryou: ladies...
It's so great that you can talk about any worries that you may have (not just menopause). A problem shared and all that. It helps such a lot.

Oh thanks so much ladies 🙏. I'm such a worry wart 😬. I need to stop seeking reassurance all the time
I've just spoken to her and she had a much better sleep so sounds and feels completely different. Goodness, I didn't realise how debilitating lack of sleep could be, especially in the elderly.
Off to M and S now for some New Year bubbles 🍾.

It's very traditional, Penguin. Creamy mash, roasties, cauli cheese and green beans. And hubby makes a mean raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake 😋..

Ohh that sounds amazing, I want some of that. Not a great cook though, so mine would be an M&S steak pie!

Hope your mum is feeling better Songbird,  and there's absolutely no need to stop asking for reassurance, we all need a different perspective to help keep our anxiety in check at times! Parents are such a worry x

On way to a bounce park, with fighting children in the back, oh the joy 🙈. Was going to the woods but too windy.

Oh oh  :ola: :bouncing:   what's that all about, is it similar to a ball park?

DH is hoovering.  I've sorted laundry etc., it will be an on-going tidying up for a couple of days.  Then I'll take down the cards etc.  C.mas wreath removed from the front door and replaced by the gold/silver New Year one.

Its basically an indoor trampoline park (trampolines built into the ground) with a lot of inflatables too, and a pakour course and ninja course too. Kids love it, it burns tons of energy,  they are super all quiet in car on way home now so i may get some peace this afternoon 🤣. My pelvic floor on the other hand,  just isn't there anymore. It looks so much easier than it is in reality 🙈
