Booked a Covid booster, DH has booked flu/Covid - given on a Saturday at 11.45, so we can collect the papers then wander over to the surgery in our village.

Been sorting tender plants to come in which has meant wiping down windowsills, moving ornaments etc.; will have pelogoniums on the kitchen window sill  :-\ - don't think they will last long there!  They will get early morning sunshine ☀️ ...... so many cobwebs, DH has been following me round with the broom  ;D

Light lunch to hand.

;D - how did that happen?  Push-down buttons?  I remember when we locked the keys in our Cortina, cutting a long piece of wire from a school fence: no one stopped us  :o  :D : so that we could bend it, push under the rubber seal [that worked then] to lift up said button  ::)

Put the dog into a cardboard box, I'll meet the next train   ;D

Yep,push down buttons,we have a VERY old Volvo especially for taking the dogs anywhere and for an emergency car in case one of ours is in the garage, never did I think, she'd jump over the very high back seat and into the front but there you go,lesson learned .

Blanket on the bottom of our bed, ready.  Haven't told DH yet  :D

I couldn't drive Dad's old Volvo estate, the seat wouldn't pull forwards enough.

Mine had a proper dog seat harness with a handle which meant that I didn't require a lead.  She would lift the appropriate paw when I produced it, knowing that we were out and about.  Twice she was lose in the car and the 2nd I nearly lost her, a combine harvester came round the corner in a lane on the wrong side, I had to take avoiding action up a bank on our left.  There was silence from behind  :o - even now, 25 years later, I feel sick  :'(. I can still feel the shock.

I've watched ItTakes2 and now an evening of men's gymnastic all around competition.  Cuppa to hand, bath soon.

Yes,you're right,I'm either going to get a cage for them or the doggy seat belts, they are usually very good in the car and stay put but of course when I got out to go and pay, they jumped over 😡 I had a dog who loved to sit in the back window and she got shunted when someone crashed into the back of me,she too used to sit on my knee whilst driving after that 🙀 it was the 80s mind you
