No, I just found out because I phoned mum and she was sitting on her bed at 10.30, still waiting on the first visit (supposed to be between 8am and 9am!) She was trying to get herself washed and dressed bless her!
"Home from hospital" care package (in mum's case 4 carers a day) is free in Scotland. However, it's only a good thing if it's an efficient service (and it's anything but!)
Bad practice in a lot of cases (forgetting to give all meds, insufficient time lapse between doses of painkillers, leaving stairlift in unsafe position for mum). I could go on!
Sufficed to say, I have taken photographs and have had a lengthy conversation with the head of service. She apologised profusely and promised improvement- we shall see
