When first in peri, aged late 40s, for 4-6 months I had flushing from my neck to the waist down my back after my bath. I would also itch down my back, insteps and legs.

The anti-depressant medication causes busy, involved, long dreams which leave me very tired, sometimes for a whole day. From age 3 I have suffered panic attacks to varying degrees, treated in the 1990s with valium - 10mg twice a day, then 5mg on an as-necessary basis. Now I have emergency meds to use when anxiety floors me.
In hindsight I wonder if the increase in anxiety attacks and dreadful nausea was a result of hormonal upheaval but it never crossed my mind. I was aware of The Change which I knew was the end of monthly periods and might be a few hot flushes. Yeah! Not!
Anxiety is controlled by being spontaneous: any thoughts of planning a holiday causes immediate anxiety surges.
