Hi gp rang back can't see today. She said stop the estoril.will see me tomorrow. Anxiety is awful shaking  and weepy. Son has collected Alfie the lab and taken him out. Feel so low

Would you like to say more about what is causing the anxiety? It is nice your son is taking Alfie for a walk.

Since we turned life  support off on hubby I've had awful health and general health anxiety. Lost 5 family members not including hubby in 3 years. The Alfie my lab got cancer. Then son and I got covid before vaccines were around all with menopause circling. Now just when I feel I'm coming out of the fog va rears it's head and the cream was working and now hives it's just too much.

I can understand this. I think when going through as much as you have, it will mean any stress triggers the anxiety. Perhaps you are feeling everything will go wrong again. Maybe it would help to tell yourself this is not the same as the other things you have had to deal with. This is a horrid reaction but it will pass. This time next week this will all be over with and the hives should totally go.

I know how awful it is to feel overwhelmed. You have had so much to cope with.

Alfie, are you still taking the sea buckthorn? Could it be this what's caused the hives?
I have reactions to many medications including herbals.
Just a thought.

I hope you managed to get some rest. x

Just re reading thread... you have appt. to see Dr. today? What time?
To put your mind at rest why not ring the health line and ask for some advice/reassurance, just until you get to see GP?
Keep posting and letting us all know how you are doing.
I have to go out soon but other ladies will be around I'm sure....
Will check back in with you later today .x

I am sorry to hear you have had such a bad night. You must be exhausted. I hope you are able to go to the appointment today and your Dr is helpful.

Hi Kate thank you for checking in. I did a, 111 on line it said see gp today. So i I've had a, shower  to cool down my son in law has taken Alfie for me today. Appt is at 10.30. Trying to keep calm as anxiety makes this worse. Doing some deep box breathing. Hands have come down a bit since antihistamine at 6. 30. Daughter is away and son at work at the hospital.  I was stupid taking the hrt cream and the herbal thing. Although it does say hives on estriol.  :'(

You are not stupid. You could not have known you would have a reaction. Deep breathing is a very good idea. I do not know if this helps but before your appointment maybe you could try to listen to something to distract you. Maybe relaxing music or the radio.

As you have allergies you may want to take an antihistamine daily. I have to do this myself.

I may have to carry an epi pen. 20 years ago ended up in hospital severe allergy to metronidazole. The in 2020 came out in similar rash query reaction to lanzopeazole. That lasted 3 weeks and post viral fatigue followed it. So gp thinks that was a virus and called it erythema multiform but we can't be sure. Have had some toast as didn't eat much yesterday. I am exhausted .

I also have to carry epi pens with me due to a severe allergy to sesame seeds. It does sound like you may have a virus if you have had similar before. I hope you manage to keep the toast down. Maybe you could have a nap after your appointment.

Hi waste of time. She chopped and changed her mind initially oral steroids abd stronger antihistamines then came looking for me to change her mind to betnovate gel which is quite strong. I asked her how did she expect me to spread this over my entire body.  I've come home hot and itchy have put a bit on my wrists.. Had a shower first to cool down. If it gets worse ill have to go to a and e. She then had the nerve to say have a nice afternoon >:( :'(

How frustrating! Does this mean you cannot use the HRT any more? I looked up the condition you mentioned and it seems it is treated with steroid creams.

She wouldn't discuss the meno issues as well as the urticaria so have to go back but definately not with her. The prob is its large areas of urticaria and you can't use betnovate on large areas :-\ any way I've put on wrists and  behind ears. I'm so tired and now waiting for this va to kick off again
