Update on storage:
Spoke to the pharmacist today when collected my Ovestin, her advice was if no air con  keep in the coolest room in the house in a drawer or wardrobe. Do place in the fridge to cool the cream down but only for a few hours  if temperatures become over 30° for a long time in the room where stored.  I apologise for given the wrong advice.
Also I managed to get the last tube in Boots today, thank goodness I'd asked for an earlier presciption as going on holiday for 2 weeks. There is a global shortage, not just Boots and she had no idea when the next lot would be in stock. She advised I asked for an alternative when this runs out.
Think I'll try and buy some in Lanzarote to bring home.

Thanks for the update, Dierdre. I’ve taken the Ovestin out of the fridge and placed in a cooler room but will return it to the fridge when the heatwave kicks in on Sunday.
I spoke to my son in Sydney, Australia, they don’t put any of their medications in the fridge in Summer but I suppose it depends on what the medication is, even so, he thought it a good idea!

No, she said only put in the fridge if it gets really hot but just for a few hours, don't leave in there indefinitely.

I've took mine out the fridge, hope it's not damaged as been in there a couple of days.
Think mine degraded on holiday in Greece as my room was south facing and like an oven when i got back, no air con only a fan that was pointing only at me all niģht. I love Greece but it's so hot 🥵

A cool box is where I have placed my Ovestin cream, think that's definitely a much better place to keep it cool and dry.
I've wrapped the packaging in kitchen roll and placed in a plastic bag in the cool box. I've just checked and the contents are dry which is what you want to achieve.

I've just ordered a cool box off Amazon to keep my Lenzetto in.  Its going to be 40 degrees apparently next week   not what is wanted alongside hot flushes!!!

I had a look at amazon and I could only find boxes that keep them cool for one day.

Just had to put my Ovestin in the fridge, thought it was ok in the drawer as advised by the pharmacist but last night the Bepanthan was runny so the heat had got to it. Hoping the Ovestin was more protected in a foil type tube whereas the Bepanthan is in plastic.
Wish I'd stuck to keeping in the fridge now, I've always done this as soon as I get abroad and never had a problem, leave in in there for the whole 2-3 weeks holiday.

I think for the future I will be using a cool box again It's been so successful at storing meds at a constant 20c degrees.
We reached 40c today, first ever experience and I have to say frightening, everything boiling hot to touch outside.
But my Vit D capsules are not sticking together like they have in our usual summer temps, a cool box definitely the way to go!
Temps back to normal tomorrow thank goodness.

Yes it’s 20-22C in my cool box today so the HRT & cat eye drops are all good!
