Weight gain on Evorel
« on: June 29, 2022, 07:38:38 AM »

Good morning! Can anyone tell me their experience of weight gain when starting Evorel patches? I've put on 5lbs in less than 2 weeks - which is really getting me down. Does the weight gain keep going or level of at some point? I've been around the same weight for 18 months with minimal fluctuations. Everything I read says there is no proven link between HRT and weight gain but this is the only change! Feeling massive  :'(

Water retention?
I’ve been on patches for months and haven’t experienced weight gain at all.

The same as Nas I did not gain weight on Evorel patches, if anything I lost some. Could be water retention or I agree it should level out hopefully. X

I put on a bit of weight initially, doctor told me it doesn’t cause weight gain but when your hormones level out you don’t need as many calories as you did before 🤷🏻‍♀️ Very tricky to shift it though, seems to take a lot more work than it did pre HRT and that was bad enough 😂

I retained quite a bit of water when I first went on HRT but it came off after about a month so glad I stuck with it

Yes, I put on 9lb with evorel and have never managed to shift it. I know if I came off it it would go but I wouldn’t feel as good so it’s a trade off really x
