Hi all
OK - so after much research, pointless GP appointments and bits of information gained here and there I have decided to come off Evorel Sequi which, after 10 months has started causing hideous symptoms.  In the last 3 or 4 packets of patches sore boobs, bad moods and extreme tiredness has got progressively worse and I can't taki it any more.
So I am back where I started with gel and pills but his time I will take them vaginally.
My question is when to start the new regime?  I have just one patch left of the Sequi which I am due to put on tonight, but I just don't know if I can take it.  can I just stop with the patches and start immediately with just the gel and wait until my next period to start the Utrogestan?
Or, should I replace the progest in the patch with Utrogestan for a shorter time and/or till I have a period?
Before I started all this I was having irregular periods quite far apart, so if I ditch the last patch I might not have a period for ages and be left hanging on to start the Utrogestan while using the gel which you're not supposed to do.
Any clues?  GPs are all useless, my appointent at HRT clinic not til August.  Feeling desperate.

Sorry you didn’t get any replies. What did you end up doing? I would of thought it would be ok to start Utrogestan after your next period, on day 15 as they suggest. Did you ask your GP?

Hi - well amazingly my period arrived the very next morning.  however, I had planned to take the patch off, start the gel next day and then choose 1st of June to start 12 days utrogestan vaginally.  Didn't come to that though becasue period came.
However, I have had 2 mornings with one pump of Oestrogel and feel like total shit.  Just like I did the first time I tried it.  I just don't know what's going on.  I am not on any progestogen at the moment until 2 weeks time, so the only thing I am on is the gel and it has made me feel instantly awful, like I've had way too much coffee but also wasted and tired at the same time.
For some time now I have been having really bad episodes of low blood sugar hypoglycaemia.  Bad enough to nearly pass out.  Out with the dog in the middle of nowhere have had to sit down.  Horrible shakes, drenched in cold sweat.  Sometimes it takes more than an hour to pass.  I know now, that it's the HRT and judging by how I feel since starting the Oestrogel only, it's that.  AND my boobs have been really sore but were beginning to calm down since I started the period and then this morning it's worse than ever.
Even worse, I have been feeling headachy.  This was the main reason I was put on hrt in the first place, not for perimenopause symptoms - which I don't have. and I have fought for a long time to get CGRP injections for migraine prevention which I have been on for nearly 3 months and they are actually working.  The HRT did nothing (been on the patches since September (?) last year).

Oh I’m sorry to hear that. What kind of symptoms are you having? . One pump is a very small dose. As awful as it is they do say you can take 3 months to start to feel better.

Hi - the benefits were unexpected as I have never had any peri symptoms.  I thought my low mood was for other reasons but I reallly perked up in the first couple of weeks on Evorel Sequi, but over the last 3 packets I started to get regular bleeds and with it pmt:  unbearable irritability, ITCHING, OMG the itching, really low mood, disinterested in pretty much everything, very, very sore boobs and bloating so bad it makes my back ache and look like I'm pregnant.  I never had this as a woman in my 20s and 30s never mind at 51!
Considering my mmod was awful before taking hrt but I had no other symptoms of perimenopause, perhaps I should just stop taking it.  I can be miserable without all of the above.

It’s maybe something to consider. What kind of mood issues? Do you take testosterone?
