Aching legs
« on: June 10, 2022, 07:19:46 AM »

Anyone else have heavy, aching lower legs? I feel it’s a hormonal thing, as I was always the same when due to start a period; it was the first sign. But lately it’s been constant. I’m on Evorel 150 patches and 100mg utrogestan vaginally every night, also on Androfeme. I take magnesium, too.
Any tips, anyone?

When I was taking Utrogestan vaginally it used to make my legs ache.
Have you tried orally? Or you could try vaginally every other night and see if you notice a difference on the days you don’t take it. At least you’ll know if that’s what’s causing it. x

I didn’t think of a link with utrogestan. I’ve only started using it vaginally recently as orally was not controlling bleeding and it was really getting me down.

It’s only my experience so you’d have to experiment to see if that’s true for you too.

Of course this might cause a problem with the bleeding so it’s a difficult one for you. x

Also: I have had restless legs in the past which were cured by eating bananas regularly.  I remember that heaviness prior to each period, awful.

So, when I was having bleeding on the oral utrogestan, I also had this leg aching at the same time, as well as low mood and anxiety.
It’s early days with the vaginal utrogestan but I’ve had no bleeding, just the leg ache and, currently, anxiety and low mood.
Maybe the bleeding has stopped but not its associated symptoms?
I’ll certainly try eating more bananas: I have one a few times a week but could try every day.

I had really heavy legs and someone on here recommended a vitamin b12 supplement and it helped.  I’m not sure if it would work for you, but maybe worth a try?

Hope you find something that helps.
