I have posted quite regularly on the forum message board, charting my urethral caruncle (downgraded to a benign polyp) journey and its successful removal and all my bothersome bladder urgency symptoms, which now, due to the combined use of vagifem and ovestin cream, I have fully under control.
So....you would think live would be all rosy! Not quite!
For the majority of the time that I had the polyp I had a 'feeling' of a lump on the left side of my urethra and a sore 'rubbing' sensation, which was so aggravating and annoying, not to mention uncomfortable, when I moved about.
I thought it would go once the polyp was removed, but whilst the 'lump' feeling has, the 'rubbing' hasn't.
To me, it feels like something is 'too big' down below, (the only way I can describe it!) the discomfort mainly being around my urethra, which I feel may be 'sticking out' too much. Maybe, its always been like that, to be honest, I've never really paid much attention to 'down there' before recently! Could it be that everything else has shrunk!
I have had a camera into my bladder, twice, and all looks perfectly healthy, I've also been examined several times at my local GUM clinic, no sign of any prolapse, and everything looks normal.
I feel slightly dry when I have no underwear on, but much more comfortable (no rubbing), but as soon as I get dressed, and underwear touches my urethral area, the irritation starts - its bizarre!!
I'm not sure whether I may have some sort of infection, thrush maybe, although no discharge at all. However, when I was examined firstly at the GUM clinic they said I had thrush then, but no symptoms.
Has anybody ever felt like this? Its driving me nuts!! Nobody seems to know why 'down below' feels like it rubbing
