I need to watch it, 9pm is past my bedtime currently whilst I’m struggling so much with symptoms but I’ve recorded it to watch!

She was talking on the radio this morning. There is a book coming out in September and her next HRT campaign is to get the third female hormone, testosterone, available on an NHS prescription.

I know nothing of all this as my menopause journey is over but thought I would give you all a heads-up!

Oh wouldn’t that be great if we could get testosterone on the NHS!! The female one! Love Davina!! It made a massive difference for me.

I'm happy enough on Tostran but it would be great not to have a battle every time I need a new prescription. Just as well it lasts for months. I hope she gets somewhere with it.

I feel the same Sheila, I’m preparing for a battle with the GP for a Testogel repeat without being forced to have bloods!

One thing I wondered: it was mentioned that vaginal atrophy treatment is "HRT" ..........  :-\

Tell me about it. No blood pressure check for hrt just bloods for testosterone. No new prescription required because levels are normal  >:( only because I'm on testosterone... idiots..

Because that's exactly what it is, hormone replacement. Replacing the oestrogen the body no longer produces.

Isn’t the reason they do bloods for testosterone because too much can lead to hair growth on the face and deepened voice and you can’t reverse that once it happens? So they carefully monitor it in women? What is the issue with having bloods, do you gals not think it’s reliable? I had to have one for it and the nurse was terrible! Really hurt when normally I don’t feel it and she couldn’t get it from one arm so tried the other but on the side of my inner elbow so I massively bruised and she still didn’t get much out of it. I’ve never had that happen before, usually it’s no problem.

Yep, exactly the same here! So far I’ve managed to talk my way out of a blood test as we both know my levels are good and that’ll change if the prescription is stopped because a test says I’m not deficient! Remarkably this is from a surgery who prescribed T without telling me or  discussing it or testing to see if I was deficient! I’m glad I’ve got it but the fight to keep it causes stress  >:(
I am pushing for the Testogel pump again opposed to the sachets as one pump lasts longer than a box of sachets.
