Feeling nauseous
«
on:
May 01, 2022, 09:53:12 AM »
Hi everyone, I’m not on any medication but does anyone suffer with a motion sickness feeling when not even on any transport. Sometimes on moving my eyes it makes me feel nauseous. This is one of the symptoms I really don’t cope very well with as I constantly feel sick from my head to my stomach. Having to go to work & stand up at the front of a class of 16 year olds, be jolly keep it together & sound like I know what I’m talking about is really hard & so exhausting.

Have you suffered a cold recently, or hay fever, which may cause an inner ear problem? R U constipated, when I suffer slow transit I feel queasy. Awful.
Ginger products are good to counteract nausea, DH uses a lot in cooking. Biscuits are easy to eat. MayB get your ears looked at? Travel sickness tablets might be useful once the ears have been checked. How is your diet overall?

Just wanted to send you some virtual support.
No experience of the nausea, but totally get how tough it is working with teens when you feel rotten.
I work with SEN teens and they are very unforgiving when you feel ill! The whole tying to put on a brave face is really hard I know. Worse is daily briefing! Xx

Nausea was one of my worst menopausal symptoms . It was awful and, for me, was a sign of low oestrogen. x

Hi Poppy, I would get your eyes checked just to rule it out. Opticians aren’t just checking for vision problems.
Hope you get to the bottom of this soon.

Thank you so much to you all for your advice & support. I will take it all on board & try anything you have suggested. I always feel that when someone says I have that it’s a great comfort that I’m not on my own ( although I don’t like to think of others suffering). Xx

I would see your gp (for ear problems) as well as an optician. I have inner ear damage from an infection years ago and this can happen to me too.

I would see your GP for this and perhaps ask to see an ear nose and throat specialist. You may have had an infection or something causing issues. I believe low oestrogen can cause nausea but not sure about other symptoms.

I also suffer nausea, it appears whenever it likes, I have started eating every two hours to help which it does to some extent. I’ve recently been on a weekend cruise a taster to see if I would like it for a future holiday, it was hell I felt constantly sick as soon as I got on until I got off, having to sit through a posh meal and order and eat with feeling nauseous is not pleasant although I did feel a bit less nauseous after I’d eaten but it didn’t last long maybe an hour.
It has definitely put me off going on a cruise again.
I had ginger tea which helped slightly but had not alcohol the whole time just water.
I’ve just ordered ginger beer with the shopping to see if that helps more.

Reflux used to give me nausea, even though I didn't feel like i had reflux, after an omeprazole, nausea went. Have you ever done an intolerance test?
Shame about the cruise, I love cruising, even though I usually feel sick through the Bay of Biscay but once that's over,I'm fine

I was taking Lanspronal twice each day, but still felt nauseous I think I may try the tablets Stergeron to see if they will help.
Poppy have you tried them? Sometimes ginger tea helps but sometimes it doesn’t..
