New and nervous!

Hi, just about to start my HRT journey. 50, nervous and probably going to be asking lots of stuoid questions !
I don't know anyone who has done HRT, got nobody IRL to ask.

Browse round.  There are several ladies from across the water ;-) who should pop up with support.  As well as from Canada and the US.

Let us know how your periods are behaving.  What sent U to the GP initially?  Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress.

No periods for at least a year. I went to the docs when I started with the pressure in my chest, I thought it was heart-related but after ecg, blood tests and chest xrays my doc thinks it's all down to menopause.

Many report 'palpitations'.  Do U feel supported by your GP? 

That's menopause proper then, usually after 12 months without a bleed we can say that we 'are there'.  However.  Sometimes Nature comes back to bite  ;D.  Also, nowt is stupid, taboo etc., although we do have a thread "doing stupid things" ;-)
