How do I increase my appetite? 🥰
« on: April 24, 2022, 02:37:40 PM »

Hi all, I'm so sorry it's me again, but I'm asking questions as they come in my head.  I know most ladies have the opposite ... I'm desperate 😪

I have quite a lack of appetite more often than not, and it's worrying me sick... even if I'm not down or anxious, it happens.... I have never been one to not eat regularly 😁

It's worse in the mornings and it is not until the late afternoon/evening that I can eat.  I know that my palpitations and racing heart makes me nauseous, plus my face gets hot when this happens... there doesn't seem to be a reason for it.  I have had it about 2 to 3 years now but it doesn't make sense.  My bowels are up and down too.  I certainly haven't lost weight though.

Can anyone suggest anything to help? I'm so worried that I'm going to fade away 😒😒

Thank you xxx

I would say, don't worry. You are not losing weight, that's a good sign!
Your body's changing so adapt and eat as much as you like when you feel like something to eat.

Because of a back problem I can be very nauseous in the mornings. I have one piece of toast for breakfast but as the day goes on my appetite increases and I can enjoy a good lunch and dinner.

Hi Unicorn

Nausea can be as a result of low choline, common post menopause. The best source of this is eggs. Could you try and eat one sort boiled egg for late breakfast?

Another vitamin deficiency linked to nausea is folate. For this of course greens are the food source (but difficult to eat for breakfast!) or you could try a course of folate. Try not to use folic acid, folinic acid is better and always take in the morning.

As we get older we don’t need as many calories, so try not too worry as your not loosing weight. x

All I have to do is think about going on a diet and I end up eating twice as much  >:(. No advice I'm afraid but I don't think you should worry as your weight is stable
