Vagifem: To reload or not?
« on: April 11, 2022, 11:49:10 AM »

Just wondering if I should reload vagifem for 2 weeks after not using for 10 nights due to internal exam/smear or if I can just go back to every other night?  I normally use vagifem every other night and Yes VM on the alternate nights.  I’m noticing exacerbation of symptoms so this must be due to stopping for a short while.  Thank you 😊

You can use it as much as you want, sometimes I need to take it every day for a week then I can come down but my Dr says just to use it as I please,it's very low dose,so quite safe. You should maybe just run it by your GP first but that's what my one said  :)

If you have an exacerbation of symptoms after stopping it for 10 days I would do a two week reload.  I do a two week reload three or four times a year.

Yes I would def do a reload if you’re having a recurrence of symptoms. Notoriously difficult to get on top of these issues otherwise. Hopefully you’ll be back to normal after a couple of weeks of daily use.

Thanks so much for all the replies, really helpful advice, I will go for one every night initially to get back on track.  :)
