Could someone explain sequi regime please?
« on: April 02, 2022, 09:05:55 AM »

Hi ladies ,
Could someone explain how to go from conti to sequi regime please?
I understand that in sequi i would need to take 2 utrogestan from day 15-26 instead of one that I currently take  on conti but i am a bit confused ( using utro vaginally at the moment).

When do i start counting the15-26 days ( i went on conti as i had no periods prior for 11 months and very light irregular before that) so as no regular period would it make sense to start the oestrogel on the first day of the month and then count from there 15-26 ?
And then would i count the next 15-26 utro straight from there 27th day or would i need to wait for a bleed and then start counting from first day of bleed ?
Would i get a predictable bleed every month ?
The reason i am considering that is that although i was expecting some breakthrough bleeding during the first 6 months on hrt , i am 49, the bleeding has been horrendous, i have basically had what looks and feel like proper periods every 2-3 with painful cramps all episodes of bleeding preceded by another week of pmt ( cramps , irritability , bloating , aches etc).
This has been going on for 5 full months already and physically exausted , I would rather have a month ly bleed but this is too much .
I thought that pms is caused by the hormones fluctuations, but on conti i am getting a steady dose of estrogen 3 pumps and progesterone so what is causing the pms  and not only the bleed ?
Last question:
I read that another option for ladies who were irregular prior hrt , would be a cyclical 3 months regime were progesterone is only taken every 3 months , is anybody on that regime that could explain it to me please ?
Would it be wise to do that ?
I just don’t want to mess things up more but unless this constant bleeding and cramps and pms suddenly settle next month(6th month on hrt) I can’t go on like this and need a change.
I really hope that someone can explain how to proceed. Thanks
