Hi June. I agree with Flossieteacake that it sounds as if patches were beneficial to you. I would say it is definitely worth asking for them again in order to help with your bladder problem for a start. My GP took me off mine at the age of 60 (I'm 68 now) and six months later I had to have a hysterectomy due to prolapse. My gynae consultant requested that I be put back on the patches to keep my pelvic floor as healthy as possible and thankfully I'm still on it. You mention pelvic floor exercises and I wonder if you have been referred to a pelvic floor specialist team for an assessment and tailored exercise programme. This has been invaluable for me.
NICE guidelines are that women should be allowed to use HRT indefinitely as long as there are no health conditions precluding this.
For the bladder infections are you using a topical oestrogen such as vagifem as vaginal atrophy is one of the causes of repeated UTI's? I use full HRT plus vagifem.
